The Creative Impact: Capital Region Artist Fund was created to help alleviate some of the financial stress many are enduring, specifically the local artists. As of May 12, the fund has raised more than $10,000, received over 135 artist applications, and has awarded 80 artists with grant funds. Payments to artists are in the form of $100 Visa Gift Cards and will continue to be distributed to artists until funds have been depleted.
The Creative Impact: Capital Region Artist Fund is presented by Acting with Aaron, Albany Barn, Albany Center Gallery, Arts Center of the Capital Region, Collectiveffort, Creative Action Unlimited, D. Colin, Youth FX, with support by Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region and United Way of the Greater Capital Region.
The Fund is approximately $4,000 from being able to fund the remaining artist applications. Thanks to a generous contribution of $1,000, all support will be matched up to this amount until May 24.

(i.e. performances, readings, workshops, gigs, commissioned work, or other like opportunities). Funding and interest dependent, it may expand to include the other counties of the Capital Region as well, in the near future. Proof of address will be requested.
